Bigger Amsterdam office as Euro business grows for WorldEvents

After 24 months in Amsterdam, the WorldEvents Group has continued to expand into mainland Europe as part of its strategy to increase its global presence. As well as the hub office of Amsterdam that opened in January 2008, the company now also has offices in Munich and Zurich, with a presence in Bulgaria and Antwerp.

The Amsterdam office has seen a significant growth in headcount to support continuing business development success. Staff numbers have now reached 13 since the office first opened resulting in the company moving this weekend to larger premises to accommodate further anticipated growth. The team have relocated to Westermarkt 2C, 1016 DK Amsterdam, a few doors from their current premises.

The Munich and Zurich office were officially launched in 2009 following the success of an initial satellite presence. Susanne Silberhorn is heading up the Munich office and Uwe Bornemann the Zurich office. Susanne has more than 15 years practical experience within Marketing & Sales departments of successfully operating international events in the Automotive, Healthcare and IT sectors. Commenting on the continued expansion Andrew Winterburn, Director Europe said, “We are very pleased with our continued expansion. It cements our position in Europe and delivers against our strategy. We are delighted to have experienced professionals such as Susanne and Uwe leading us in these markets and plan to continue our growth into additional markets key to our strategic plans in 2010.”

Since opening in 2008 the team have already coordinated events in destinations such as Munich, Paris, Barcelona, Lyon, Chicago, Leiden, Pisa, Utrecht, Shanghai, Stockholm, Amsterdam, and Seville for clients such as Astellas, Abbott Vascular and Johnson and Johnson.
